error-disabled cause by loopback?

Hello All,

Does anyone please explain me about error-disabled cause by loopback? What is loopback? When does it happen? And why?

This happens usually with IP Phones using power over ethernet. Hope this link helps

Hello attrgautam,

Thanks for reply. I am not use ip phone or poe. Actually just a Catalyst switch as normal layer 3 switch.

Please advice too.

Can you tell me the device which is connected on this port ? There is a possibilty of looping Ensure tht there are no loops on the interface (STP or otherwise)

The Catalyst connected to 3Com switch. And my network does not have redundancy link between each switches.
