Re: Error message on Catalyst 6513 Urgent!!!

Hello,

here is what the error message decoder says:

1. %PFREDUN-4-BOOTSTRING_INVALID: The bootfile [chars] is not present in standby

This message indicates that the bootfile that is configured is not present on the redundant supervisor engine. If the redundant supervisor engine resets, it will not come up because it will not find the image specified in the bootstring.

Looks like you need to configure the bootfile on the redundant supervisor...

HTH,

Re: Error message on Catalyst 6513 Urgent!!!

Is your boot variable correct , it says flash: ? What flash are you pointing it towards? On a 720 the image should be on sup-bootflash . Your boot system statement should say "boot system flash sup-bootflash: " .

Re: Error message on Catalyst 6513 Urgent!!!

Refer to the following bug

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCef44077

The bootvariable should be

"boot system flash sup-bootflash:s72033-pk9sv-mz.122-17d.SXB1.bin"

Also, you have to unconfigure the bootldr variable. There is no bootldr image for Sup720.
