error on Sup720BXL with SFP (C6506)

When I connect a optical transceiver module type LH-70 (SX or ZX) I received this error message : %PM_SCP-SP-3-TRANSCEIVER_BAD_EEPROM: Integrity check on transceiver in LAN port 5/1 failed: bad key.

When I connect a transceiver of CISCO I didn't received this error message.

My question is : is this SFP port cisco proprietary ?????

Hello,

Cisco devices check the SFP and GBIC's manufacturer ID. So you can use only Cisco tranceivers.
