Error when I log into 2600 router

when I try to log on, I get the following error:

%% Low on memory; try again later

1w4d: %SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 1664 bytes failed from 0x802261D0,

pool Processor, alignment 0

-Process= "IP-RT Background", ipl= 0, pid= 79

-Traceback= 802243FC 80225E18 802261D4 80221CB4 8022235C 8040884C 802FB320 802FF

E5C 803032EC 8023F090

I have never seen this b4. It has been some time since I logged on and I forgot to write the changes to memory, so I know if I reboot, I will have major issues. so, any help is great.

Should I try when less users are logged on to the wan? (this router is used to access the net) I even try to access it from the net and that is a no go.

thanks

You have a memory leak in the routing process. The process does no release the memory when it is done using it . If it will not let you telent in try a condole connection If it will not let you write mem try to copy to tftp.

Unfortuneately the only fix is a reboot.

As a last resort you might like to try something like this. Im sure there must be others around too.
