Ether Channel

  • Use to aggregate bandwidth between multiple L2/L3 Interfaces
  • It Increases bandwidth and provides redundancy by aggregating Indiviual Links between Switches.
  • It load balances traffic over all the links in the bundle.
  • Upto 8 links can be use to combine into one logical link.
  • It can be configured in Layer 2 or Layer 3
  • Port-Channel is the logical instance of the physical Interfaces.
