Hi,
Need to check if Giga Etherchannel can be configured between Copper 10/100/1000BaseT and SFP 1000BaseT between two blades on a Cat 6506 with either Sup 720 or Sup32.

I heard from one of my colleague that he has tested in a lab environment(Cat6509E-sup720) bundling the copper and fiber gig ports in the same etherchannel group.
But if you ask Cisco directly they say NO

Hi
According to cisco the speed and duplex settings on the links should be same for the etherchannel configurations.
So it shouldn't be a problem eventhough the links are from different media as far as the above equation holds true.
The best way would be to simulate this in a LAB and test

I have configured etherchannel between two 3560G 48 port switches. Using a combination of 2 sx fiber and 2 1000tx copper interfaces. The resulting layer 2 channel supported upto 4gb. The notes from the cisco site indicate the following:
Configure all LAN ports in an EtherChannel to operate at the same speed and in the same duplex mode.
The following link refers to etherchannel for 6500 series switches:
This link refers to etherchannel for the 3560 series:
