Etherchannel in a cluster

I have two switches 2950-T (24 port 10/100 and 2 port 10/100/1000) in clustering connected with one Giga port to a 6509 switch.

I want to make a 2 Gb link between the cluster and 6509.

I am thinking to make an 2 Gb Etherchannel with one port of each switch 2950

Is this possible?

Regards.

Re: Etherchannel in a cluster

Hi,

it's possible with Cat3750 stack (see http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat3750/12218se/3750scg/swethchl.htm#79952).

But not with 2950s, I'm afraid.

The Configuration manual doesn't mention any possibility of cluster-wide Etherchannel (see http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat2950/12119ea1/2950scg/swethchl.htm#64491).

I don't beleive it's possible.

Regards,

Milan
