Etherchannel on Cisco 6509 CatOS

i have got Cisco 6509 running CatOS, how do i set etherchannel, i am bit confussed on this.

I hope u r having native ios on it.fisrt can u tell us weather u want to create a layer 2 ether-channel or layer 3 etherchannel.
