Etherchannel Overhead

How much overhead does etherchannel add to a packet? Does it affect the mtu size? Thank You in advance!

Re: Etherchannel Overhead

Practically zero. Because the Ethernet frame is not modified. You cannot compare an Etherchannel with a tunnel interface.

The frames are distributed between the participating interfaces in the channel. The source/destination/port information is used by the XOR algorithm to load-balance across the channel-members.
