Re: EtherChannel Port Of a Switch

an etherchannel port usually consists ov several ports.

sh spant should show you all ports in the channel.

Channelling is a way to group several ports together (logically) so that you can load balance accross them all. The neat thing is STP runs on the channel not the ports. if one port fails, the remaining ports keep the channel open and hence STP will not run.

I hope you are refering to Switch port analyser(SPAN). the switch can not open a channel to a non-switch ? Hence you can not set the SPAN port on the port channel.
