We are experiencing an unusual amount of damage to our Ethernet ports at one particular site. The site has a high lighting potential due to it's open and elevated location. However, the data to the port is brought in to the building over fiber into a 3com fiber hub before it reaches the router. We have lost 3 ports in less than a year. Is there anything we can do to protect the router (1605 model) or is there possibly another reason for the damage?
