Experiencing Error on 2900XL series

What is Experiencing Error? It happens on port switch 2900XL. How can I do?

If you get syslogmessages "experiencing errors" it means that the errorcounters on that port are increasing.

Logon to the switch and perform a sho interface on that specific port. Mostly errors are generated by misconfigured NIC's, especialy duplex mismatches.

How can I do if that error port still light up "amber"? What method to clear that state?

Re: Experiencing Error on 2900XL series

The amber LED indicates that there is a spanning tree block on the port. Do a show spanning on the switch and it'll show you the state of the ports in regards to spanning tree. As for clearing the amber LED, you need to remove the loop in the network that is causing STP to put the port in a blocking state. We see this reguarly when users connect hubs to the network in their desk and share the hub with users in the next office.
