Extra DDRAM/ FLASH.

I've got a Cisco 1605R router originally with 4Mb Flash/8Mb DDram. I just boost the memory to 16Mb Flash and 24Mb DDram. What performance improvements would I expect to get???

After just putting the 16Mb Flash in, I felt that the network is already faster.

What's more to come??

Re: Extra DDRAM/ FLASH.

The flash is mainly used for storing the IOS image. So, I am suprised how you see improvement by just upgrading the flash. Since the DRAM stores all routing table entries, cache entries etc., you may see improved performance if you increase it.
