Extreme Networks BlackDiamond Vs. Catalyst 6500

Anybody out there convert from Catalyst6500 to Extreme Networks BD due to Catalyst 6500 performance shortcomings? From reading various reports, it looks like the Extreme Networks BD is able outperform the Catalyst 6500 at Layer-2. I was just curious if anybody out there has gone the way of Extreme and does not regret it. Also, anybody running into any performance bottlenecks while using the Cat6500 platform?

Re: Extreme Networks BlackDiamond Vs. Catalyst 6500

Extreme Networks BD switch have good Access-list performance than Cisco6509.

Extreme BD Accee-list is a complete ASIC based access-list. not CAM based Access-list.

CAM based Access-list usually have some limitation and is easy to reach the CAM capcacity.
