Extremely slow response from a 2950-48G cluster

Extremely slow response from a 2950-48G cluster (web interface)

I’m installing a small campus network (2x 6506 & 12x 2950g currently in lab). I’m experiencing some response issues with using the IOS imbedded cluster manager web interface on the 2950’s. If one accesses a single 2950 it gives a reasonable response, but as soon as one tries to cluster three of them (gigastack) the access grows exceedingly slow – up to 20mins for a configuration change. Any advice???

Re: Extremely slow response from a 2950-48G cluster

Your Problem can be analysed in 2 ways

1. Creating Clusters for Web basedmanagement

The following links gives informnation on the minimum IOS needed and how to create a cluster.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/59.html#webbased

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat2950/2950_wc/scg/scg_clus.htm

2. There might be a possibility of performance issue in the port which is connected for Web interface

Check this link for the port performance issue : http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/473/53.shtml#performance

Check this link for the system issue : http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/473/53.shtml#systemissues
