Failover with Router 7200VXR and NPE-GI

Hi,

My name is Venancio and I have one router 7206VXR with NPE-GI. The NPE-GI have three interfaces Giga. I want configuring two interfaces Giga in the same network but one interface will be connected a one switch name A and other interface will be connected a other switch name B.

I want configuring failover between this interfaces.

You can think off possible HSRP or GLBP configurations which can provide you failover in place also with GLBP you can have both redundancy as well as load balancing.

Cant do it. You cant put both gigas in the same network. it would reject you straight away. You can do it in 2 ways.

Do vrf lite ie put a gig in a different vrf interface or bridge the 2 gigs and give an ip on the bvi.
