Fan module on 6509

We have a 6509/sup1a+pfc. The fan module show red led. Does it mean the fan module has to be replaced?

Probably , look it the log and it should show some kind of error in there .

"SHOW SYSTEM" in CatOs, or "SHOW ENVIRONMENT STATUS" or "SHOW ENVIRONMENT ALARM" in IOS to see status of fan tray.
