Fast Switching

When I used the command "show ip cache" on my distribution router, I can see alot of entries to the destination subnet (branch network). But, my the distribution routers were configured to used CBWFQ and redistibution RIP and EIGRP with ACLs. Thus, the distribution routers is it still consider process switching ? or only for first few packets only ?because the destination subnet already has cached in the router fast switching table. Can anybody help me on this ? Is confuse me ..

Re: Fast Switching

You are confused by the meaning of distribute list.

ex:distribute-list 10 out rip. It means that EIGRP protocol will distribute route information in the route table learned by rip(already in the router's route table).
