I have been asked to provide a solution which can provide a fax gateway. We would like it to have two lines on it and we would prefer it to send the fax to the email address of the user after being recieved.
Is this be possible with a 2600 with 2 FXS ports on it? Is there any other HW or SW that is needed to have this work correctly?
Are there any other factors do we need to know or at least consider before heading down this road?
Hi, what you are trying to acheive can be done with Cisco Unity software. It is designed to leverage the features of Microsoft Exchange server and third-party enterprise fax messaging solutions to create a powerful universal inbox, which provides single-point access to voicemail, email, and faxmail. Subscribers are able to receive notification when a new fax arrives and request delivery of fax and email messages to a fax machine. Take a look at this docment for the details of the options.
