I have the following setting:
Catalyst 1924 -------- Cisco 3620 with NM-1FE1CE1B
The switch port only supports max 10Mb/Full, so the router is hard fixed to 10Mb/Full.
We see FCS error keeps increasing in the Catalyst 1924 switch, running Catalyst OS v9.x (this is a very old switch, menu based OS). The C3620 is running IOS 12.1(16).
We replaced the switch, the cable, the module as well as the router chassis, but it doesn't help. The FCS-error persisted.
Has anyone seen this issue before?
Is there an IOS bug related to FCS error?

Can you try 10 Mb / half duplex instead of full ?

By default the 1924 is 10/half so if you have the router at 10/full you have a speed duplex mismatch . Either change the router to 10/half or make sure the switch is hardcoded to 10/full a non default setting .

Hi Glen,
Yes, I hard coded the 1924 to 10/full. I am waiting for a chance to try to change the link to 10/half.
