Are there any commands that I could issue to the switch that would give me back the port info if I know either the IP address of a workstation or it's MAC address? Meaning I want to know where a particular workstation is plugged in without tracing cables.

sh arp
This will give you the stations IP adress, MAC address and the VLAN it belongs to. Once you have this info you can use the
sh mac-address-table vlan #
This will show you the MAC address and which port it's connected to.
sh mac-address-table ?
This will give you all kinds of options you can use to drill down to whatever your needs may be.
Hope this helps.

sh mac-add add 00d0.d456.0000
This will give you the exact port number of where that mac address it on the switch. I use this one all the time.
I would suggest putting a description on the port when you find it. Very helpful in the future.
thanks
