Finding the IP address of the host connected in the Switch port

Hi,

I have a Cat 4006 and I want to find out the IP address of the host connected with each port(other than trunk ports ). I need this info for documentation purpose which host is connected in waht port. I can find the MAC address (show cam dynamic ) and I don't know how to convert this MAC to corresponding IP address or it may be a single command in 4006 Switch to find the IP addresses (same like show arp in Router)

Thanks

Raju

Once you know the MAC address, you can then go to the router that serves as the default gateway for that vlan, and check the arp entry for that MAC address on the router to see what the IP address of that host is.

HTH,

Bobby
