Flash checksum invalid with my 2501 router.

When I transfer a IOS from a tftp server to a 2501 router, when finished, it told me:

"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!

[OK - 7510772/8388608 bytes]

Verifying checksum... invalid (expected 0x1805, computed 0x551D)

Flash copy took 0:04:47 [hh:mm:ss]

2500FH(boot)#show flash

System flash directory:

File Length Name/status

1 7510772 c2501.110-10c.bin [invalid checksum]

[7510836 bytes used, 877772 available, 8388608 total]

8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)"

Would you please tell me how can I recover it ?

Thanks so much.

I had a similar problem with the 2500. We popped the top off and during shipping, the flash had become slightly unseated. We ended up swapping it out for a new one and it resolved the problem.

When u download the IOS from the Cisco site, check the checksum given there and compare it with downloaded IOS in TFTP.It should match. Also when u load it to the router from TFTP, all 3 checksums should match.

It seems the IOS downloaded correctly, because I have tranfered it to another router, it was transfered correctly(the checksum match and work well).

Thanks a lot.
