Flash memory error

Hi,

I installed a new flash card on a 7513 router and get the following message when I try to format it:

Router1#format slaveslot1:

All sectors will be erased, proceed? [confirm]

Enter volume id (up to 30 characters): 16MB Flash

Formatting sector 116

Read error status:

device: 1

status offset: C00008

bytes read: 2

status read: FFFFFormat device slaveslot1 failed (device driver error erasing device)

Any suggestions?

Dean

Re: Flash memory error

Dean, Different platforms use different file systems. Not all flash cards can be used on all devices. The following link lists the systems that are compatible.
