I have run the following command on my 3640 router and have obtained the result below :
3640Router#show flash ch
8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)
Chip Bank Code Size Name
1 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
2 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
3 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
4 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
1 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
2 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
3 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
4 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
Does this mean that I have 2 simms of 4 meg each ? If this is not the case can someone tell me what I have ?
Thanks Matt

Use this method.

Thanks for your feedback, but this method is for identifying the DRAM SIMM configuration and not the Flash Mem Config.
Do you know a way of identifying how many of for the two flash slot are used up ?

Hello,
I think if you issue either one of the following commands:
show flash chips
show flash all
you can see which banks have which memory.

The column "Bank" means also the simm or connector number. So you have two simms of 4MB each with four chips.

Andy,
This is exactly what I thought it meant.
But I started to question this interpretation when I carried out the Show Flash Chip command on a 2610 router.
I obtained the following output:
2610-Router>show flash chip
8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)
Chip Bank Code Size Name
1 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
2 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
3 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
4 1 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
1 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
2 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
3 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
4 2 89A2 1024KB INTEL 28F008SA
The only problem is that a 2610 only has one slot for flash memory! So why does it show is as if it is using two banks?
So I am really confused now ?
Thanks, Matt
