flash memory issue - cisco 1710 - how do i erase flash memory?

hello,

i tried to upgrade a 1710 box and i got the "SYSTEM INIT: INSUFFICIENT MEMORY TO BOOT THE IMAGE!" message.

no wi'm trying to go back to the old version which was loaded on the box but i keep getting the same message.

here you have some output info from the box - maybe you can come with a new idea - i tried tftpdnld, xmodem ... and so on...

I think your choices are limited if your image isn't valid/no memory.

Alternative is to put more memory into the 1700.

hi,

thx - i know - i've done all that ... this is way it's strange.

- i have the right image - from the site - checked md5

- going through all steps

- the memory is there - flash and RAM

- nothing is wrong with the hardware

- the router keeps saying the same thing

Is it possible for the flash content to be altered ... i mean ... maybe the router did not erased the flash ... yes ... something is strange ... i don't remember the box asking me to erase the flash after the copy tftp flash: command .... ??!!!

The closest bug I could find was CSCdx56283. A TAC case would be your best bet.
