I have a question concerning Frame-relay end-to-end keepalive.
Can this feature be used when one of the Cisco routers is terminated on an ATM PVC (Frame-relay ATM interworking)?
I searched the documentation but nothing relevant.

I think its your LMI which does keepalives on the FR interfaces end to end. LMI tells you the status of the PVC's terminated on the FR switch.
I dont think it is possible to configure LMI's on ATM interfaces !!!

Yes, you will need to use the ATM OAM (Operation, Administration, and Maintenance) cell management feature on the atm side. This will allow for the F/R LMI to be translated to an ATM OAM cell and visa versa. ATM PVC's must be configured like this in order to support OAM cell management:
!
interface ATM2/0.101 point-to-point
description ** blah, blah, blah... **
mtu 1500
bandwidth 1536
ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252
pvc TESTPVC 1/101
vbr-nrt 44209 1720 32
oam-pvc manage
encapsulation aal5snap
!
!
This way, if the frame side is down, your ATM sub-interface will go down and visa versa.
