Frame Relay Map class

When you configure a map class with:

map-class frame-relay 28K

no frame-relay adaptive-shaping

frame-relay cir 56000

frame-relay mincir 28000

What triggers the mincir to take affect if "no frame-relay adaptive-shaping" is configured?

Re: Frame Relay Map class

The minimum cir is only used to

calculate the tc value used for frame clocking and token interval.

With no adaptive-shaping, no trottle down is done and hence

frame are only allowed to CIR specified and the overlap frames

are queued or droped if queue is full.

If you'll like to react to fecn and becn and react to them adaptively.

Then I suggest you enable adaptive shaping. Both

supports adaptive and non-adaptive shaping. The default is to disable

it as its assumed the map-class is for voice traffic.
