Frame Relay over ATM

We currently are trying to implement an ATM PVC to a remote office, using a pre-existing Frame-Relay line. We are using ansi as our lmi-type, but are unable to get traffic to pass. Both sides are up, and ATT verified the line is working. My question is, has any one had problems implementing ansi as there lmi-type using ATM? We have other sites that are using cisco as there lmi-type, and they are working fine. I am going to switch to see if this corrects the problem, just wanted to know if anyone else has ran across this?

Thanks,

SM

Re: Frame Relay over ATM

Mottss, use CISCO as your LMI type..It will work..alwayz go with what works for production. When you have time, get into the lab and work w/ANSI.

Re: Frame Relay over ATM

If protocol on the frame-relay circuit is up then your lmi-type is correct. On the frame-relay interface, code IETF after the "frame-relay interface-dlci XXX" statement. Ex: frame-relay interface-dlci 588 IETF.
