Can I do a simulation on frame-relay connection using 2 routers connecting each other by DTE and DCE cable such as PPP connection.

You need a third router to act as a frame-relay switch.

You need to use frame-relay encapsulations (such as cisco or ietf) between the routers.

Last week I would have said it cant be done but I just found out this weekend that it can be done. It has limited use for point to point simulations.
config frame relay encap on both sides. Config frame intface-type dce and frame switching on one side. config both sides with the same dlci. Config clock rate on the sdie with the dce cable end (doesnt have to be the frame intf dce side).
