Frame Relay Sub Interface

Hi,

I have configured two 2500 like Frame Relay Switch and two 2500 like dte.

I have the same IOS in the dte.The problem is the configuration of the subinterface in one router.

Using the same config in the two 2500 (encaps. F/R, ip addr, F/R dlci, no shut) I have one functioning, the other no. The "show int s 0.1" says that the subinterace is down, but on the other router the interface is up.

I think it should be important, both the serial 0 of the routers are up.

Please help me , for my English too

Re: Frame Relay Sub Interface

You can learn a little more about why that subinterface is down with the following:

'show frame-relay pvc'

'show frame-relay map'

'show frame-relay lmi'

'debug frame-relay lmi'

'debug frame-relay events'

Re: Frame Relay Sub Interface

If looking at those do not help you, post the output for us along with the copy of "sh run interface serialX" for all the interfaces involved, on the routers and the switch. A "sh ver | inc IOS" for all devices would be good too.
