Frame-Relay Switching config on 25xx

Hi Group,

I'm Setting up a lab for CCxx certifications per CCNA practical studies guide. Using 2501 with 2 serial interfaces. Frame-Switching is on. I can set intf-type on both serial ports, however I cannot get the clockrate to show on S1 when doing a show run. Also, I'm not seeing LMI on the remote router. Debug frame-relay lmi (on switch) shows S1(down) LMI timeout.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have a DCE cable in S1?

If not, it will not allow you to set a clock rate. This is independant of the intf-type being DCE, since this at the physical layer.

Thanks! Yes it was a cable, problem I had it reversed. ... I should have known to check the Physical layer first. It now works. Thanks again
