Frame tcp header compression works pooly

we have a 7206 with mulitple FR P-t-P Pvc.

the performace is very bad after I turn the tcp header compression on both sides. It works fine after the compression removes.

any idea ? or it is code issues

they are 7206 c7200-ik9s-mz.122-2.T.bin

3661 c3660-is-mz-122-8T.bin

the Fr links are 64k lines and not runs multilink

thanks all the help

Re: Frame tcp header compression works pooly

There are lots of reasons you may be seeing the performance slowdown. First of all have you verifies that you are not having any cpu or memory problems when compression is enabled?

Do you have any QoS configured? Compressed packets must arrive in order. Anything that changes the order that the packets are received in, like priority queuing or retransmits due to poor comm lines will have problems with header compressions.

how are your links and the compression configured?

are you using cisco or ietf encapsulation? is the compression configured at the interface or as a map?
