We have 2 locations one at India and the other at UK, the india router is connected to the UK router via a 2 Mbps and a 512 Kbps IPLC link, we want to use the 512 link only for FTP traffic, if we create a ACL on the 2 Mbps link and deny FTP traffic on it and put a ACL on 512 link to allow FTP only and enable policy based routing will this idea work.
We have EIGRP configured, if we divert all the FTP traffic to the 512 Kbps link, and in case the 512 link falls, will the FTP traffic get diverted on the 2 Mbps link automatically or we need to configure the traffic to divert to the 2 Mbps link??
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
