full duplex on the ethernet 0/0 (10Mb) interface of the Cisco 2610

According to previous information, you can set full-duplex on the 2610 ethernet interface,

I do it, the router takes the command, it says its running full duplex when you do a "sh int e0/0" and "sh controll e0/0"

but the switch I connect it to( a Cat 3524-Pwr) will autonegotiate to 10Mb half, if I force the switch port to 10 and full, it comes up with duplex mismatch errors

SO DOES FULL DUPLEX ON 2610 Ethernet interface REally work?????

Yes, it is really working. CDP is reporting incorrectly. It is a problem with bug CSCds50946. It is fixed in 12.2 code on the 2600.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Possibly CSCdv53784. Try disabling CDP V2 on the 2600.

Global command,

no cdp advertise-v2
