hello
i have 4 cat 2924M-XL switchs:2 switches in each rack. the 2 racks are connected via 100M optic fiber (multi-mode). so we have a 2-ports 100baseFX module in one switch of each rack.
the cascade between the 2 switches of each rack is made via 10/100Base T.
now we want to upgrade the connection between the 2 racks for 1Gbps, and to make the same thing for the cascade between the 2 switches of one rack.
i'm not sure about what modules i must use:
-Gbic-based 1000BaseX (WS-X2931-XL) and/or
-1000 baseT (WS-X2932-XL) and/or
-Gigastack GBIC (WS-X3500-XL) and/or
-SX GBIC (WS-G5484=) and/or
-LX GBIC (WS-G5486=) and/or
can you help me?

The 2924M-XL has two slots for modules and you could use either WS-X2931-XL or the WS-X2932-XL. The former needs regular fiber GBICS(WS-G5484)while the latter uses copper GBICs(WS-G5483)
