GEC spanning two modules in 6506

Is it possible to create a single GEC (including 4 GE ports for example)spanning over two modules in C6506 switch - the WS-X6416-GBIC module (16x1000Base-X, 2 ports for instance dedicated to the GEC)and two GE-ports installed as uplink ports on the C6506 Supervisor Engine 1A (WS-X6K-S1A-MSFC2) ?

Is it possible combine these ports into the single GEC ?

Yes, it is possible to span modules including the supervisor module in a GEC of a 6500.
