Generic traffic shaping and time based access-lists
We are looking at a case where we have high speed access to a WAN (DS3), but as soon as we use more than 2mbps we are charged extra. We would like to setup some sort of traffic shaping that is based on date and time. What we are looking for is to limit the traffic all days except the first 3 days in every month.
Do you belive its possible to use the generic traffic shaping with a traffic shape group and a time based access-list. If you could provide an example it would be great.
Re: Generic traffic shaping and time based access-lists
Yes, between the two I would think you'll be able to accomplish it. It's going to take some understanding of the traffic shaping and acl's and probably some "tweaking" to get it right. I would work with a tac rep on this one if I were you.
