Getting LAT protocol over IP backbone without bridging

Is there ANY way to get the LAT protocol across an IP backbone without enabling bridging or doing protocol translation? Like encapsulating it in something, etc.

Thanks!

No, not really. If the data is unidirectional, then DLSW might be tricked into carrying this but otherwise, would have to be bridged over the WAN.
