I have a 6506 access switch with a gig port in err-disable. I shut/no shut the interface and it goes directly back into err-disable. I disconnected the cable from that port but still get the same problem. Any ideas before I open a TAC case?

I had the same problem with an Uplink port. I had to add a command to the interface. I can't remember the command. I do know it was happening after a power generator test for the hospital.
Best thing is problably call the TAC.

Somewhere in your logs it should tell you why it errdisabled the port , need to look at that to get an idea.

Here is the error message I get:
%PM-SP-4-ERR_DISABLE: diagnostics error detected on Gi2/41, putting Gi2/41 in err-disable state
Also I have inline power set to never, because we have no devices using inline power right now.
Thanks,
Bob
