Gigabit Interface 3550-12G needs shut/no shut when server reboots
I have one server on a fiber gigabit ethernet port on a 3550-12G (IOS 12.1(8)EA1c) that needs to be shutdowned/no shutdown, every time the server connected reboots, to have the communication stablished.
A day I needed to assign 'no speed/speed nonegotiate' to have the port alive again.
I don't have another port to test this server to discard a hardware problem at this giga port on the 3550.
In a strange manner, this interface can't negotiate parameters with the NIC of the server when it reboots. We have other server with same NIC/Driver versions with no problems.
Someone of you had the same problem?
(the server has a 3Com 3C996 Gigabit Fiber-SX Server NIC / Driver Version: 220.127.116.11 / Windows 2000 Advanced Server / Service Pack 4).
