Mike,
be carefull, you can lose a part or complete switch config after next switch reload!!!
This happend to me a year ago.
Do a config backup immediately!!!
See bug CSCdx87646 for details.

Milan

Thank you. We have a backup of the config, I keep the backups ready for just this type of problem. What should we look at? I am thinking we replace the Memory....or should we be looking at something else?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
I would reload the switch first.
The problem will probably disapear. In my case it was not a HW problem, it even was not reproducible.
Then I would upgrade to some newer CatOS. I remember two cases of this problem - one with CatOS 5, one with after CatOS upgrade (I can't remeber if to CatOS 6 or to CatOS 7).
Since I'm running CatOS 7 I didn't notice it. But I'm not sure it's only CatOS problem, because I'm not able to reproduce it, it just "sometimes happens".
Regards,
Milan

The flash image is corrupted. At a minimum you need to reload it. You can try that without rebooting. Worst case you need new flash and need to load image on it.
