Goofy DHCP question...

I have a 3640 router that I use to teach classes in a lab environment. It has an Ethernet interface connected to the LAN - everytime I boot that router (even if the ENET interface is shutdown), it grabs a DHCP address and powers on the interface...

I know it sounds silly, but does anyone know how to keep this from happening?

Thanks!!!

Jeremy

no service config

With a DHCP on Lan and a TFTP server with *.cfg configuration file you can load the config on router

%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/ciscortr.cfg (Timed out)

%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/network-confg (Timed out)
