Hi everyone,
I have come across an unusual problem with a switch that was installed in December 2003. It it a 6500 with supervisor 720s installed. SW is 8.1(3). When the switch comes up everything is fine, but as time passes performance gradually gets worse. It is only affecting 1GB servers connected to 1GB ports. We have set both ends manual, but this appears to have made no difference. The strange thing is that the fastethernet connected servers all appear to be okay.
Has anybody seen anything like this before? It appears similar to memory leak issues I have seen before in servers, hence the gradual performance loss.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, this has become a personal challenge now :)
Cheers
Kev

Hey mate,
No, we had to bounce it at the weekend and it is fine now, should last for a couple of weeks before performance declines...Frustrating.
Cheers
Kevin
