Have a site with 5 GRE tunnels that communitcate through fa0/0 interface. I am wanting to keep ICMP redirects and unreachables between all the GRE routers but have them not sent on the fa0/0 interface to the outside networks. If I turn them off on the fa0/0 interface only will they still be sent between the GRE tunnels?
Re: GRE Tunnels and ICMP redirects and unreachables
I am not too sure if they will be sent between the tunnels once it has been blocked. You might have to allow it on the fa interface. You could check the working in the lab before you implement it on the network.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
