Hard Code IP helper-address on Cisco 2600

Hi All,

How do I program the IP helper-address command stay permanently on the 2600 Router? I follow instructions

from Cisco web site but it was not successful.

Any helps would be greatly appreciated.

Original configuration is shown below:

interface Ethernet0/0

ip address 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.0

ipx encapsulation SAP

ipx network 1045

Iwould like to add IP helper-address stay permanently so routing table would look like this:

interface Ethernet0/0

ip address 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.0

ipx encapsulation SAP

ipx network 1045

ip helper-address 192.x.x.x

Thanks,

Hao

I don't clearly understand what the problem is. After adding the ip helper-address, did you do a "write memory"?

Hope this helps,

No I did not issue a 'write memory' but I will definitely try it.

Thanks for your help,
