hard problem with isdn

I have a very big problem with isdn.I'm using a local carrier to connect to my remote office, sometimes i can connect to the carrier Pop, but the network of the provider doesn't work, so i can't connect to my remote office, but connection with local pop went right. Is there a test conditions to use with isdn to tell the router to try to ping a remote Ip and if this doesn't work to use an alternate dialer (and try to connect directely to remote office, for example)?

Thanks to all for you help

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
