Hardware tests

Hi,

I would like to know what diagnostics can I run on a 6509 switch to determine if there is a hardware problem. The reason being that I've lost 2 x WS-X6348-RJ-45 recently on the same switch and in the same slot?

What kind of failures did you see on the 6348 cards? What software version are you running? Change the test diaglevel to complete and reset the switch once. The following page should help as well

Did you receive Coil Parity \ Coil underflow errors on the 6348's before the failures?

Change the diag level to complete using the following command

set test diaglevel complete

and reset the line card- reset
