HD Multicast Stream Corruption

We have an appliance that multicasts a HD stream at between 16 and 22Mbps. At certain points in the video we get corruption. This only happens on the Catalyst 500 express and the WS-C2950T-24 we are using. The Appliance is in the gigabit ports. Other than change the IP address for management the switches are in factory default. When we have the appliance in a netgear FSM7328S the stream plays without corrcuption. Does anyone have any suggestions or hints?

Regards

Iain

Re: HD Multicast Stream Corruption

The issue is due to the software compatability issue with the other vendors. check for the compatability of the softwares used. Check whether the stream is sent on the same VLAN or different VLAN. IF the packets passes through the different VLAN, then there is chance of Video disruption.

Re: HD Multicast Stream Corruption

Thanks for the reply, but I am slightly confused by it. The switches aren't linked in our test lab, they are standalone. They are all using a single vlan - ie there is no cross vlan traffic. When our appliance is in the Catalyst Express 500 or in the 2950 with the subscribing hosts there is corruption. When it is in the Netgear it plays fine, which suggests something switch side?
