Help me ! How can i identified the serial number of CI model?
I have a 7500 router with a malfunction CI model.
And i want to request RMA to CISCO,how can i identified the serial number of CI model? When i used the command " show diag",i find that CI model lies in slot 31(virtual),with it's serial number supplied. I am not sure whether this serial number is what i want when i request RMA to cisco.( I think the serial number is not the one i want because when i request RMA to cisco, cisco said that the serial number is not right )
Re: Help me ! How can i identified the serial number of CI model
If the show diag reports a serial number, thats likely going to be it. Pull the card, its going to be labeled somewhere on it. Also, might want to get the chassis serial number as well, it sometimes facilitates things.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
